Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: June 1st, 2025

Until further notice, NewJersey.Rentals applies a single, non-refundable cancellation policy to all stays booked through our platform.

Why This Policy Exists

NewJersey.Rentals connects guests with local vacation properties in highly seasonal areas like the Jersey Shore. Because rental windows are limited and demand is concentrated over just a few months, last-minute cancellations can cause significant loss of income and scheduling challenges for hosts. Our current policy ensures predictability and fairness for both sides by maintaining a consistent standard across the platform while we build additional cancellation options to better serve everyone.

Standard Policy (Applies to stays under 28 days)

Non-refundable (no discount offered) Guests agree that no refunds will be issued under any circumstances once a booking is confirmed. Hosts retain their full payout regardless of when the cancellation occurs.

Long-Term Stay Policy (Applies to stays over 28 days)

Non-refundable (no discount offered) This same policy applies to long-term bookings. No refunds will be provided after confirmation, and hosts are entitled to full payment.

Exceptions

In rare cases, NewJersey.Rentals may allow exceptions to this policy under the following conditions:

  • Mandatory evacuation orders or natural disasters affecting the booked area
  • Government-imposed travel bans that prevent check-in
  • Verified emergencies reviewed by our support team Requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] with supporting documentation.

Future Cancellation Options

We are actively developing additional cancellation policies to offer guests and hosts greater flexibility. These options will be available soon and will be listed here when active. This current policy applies to all bookings made before any new options are implemented.
